Robo Robo is culture from West – Borneo and this tradition is held on the last Wednesday of the month Sapar (Hijrah) which symbolizes the blessing.
The ritual begin when the King, Queen Mempawah, sons and daughters as well as the retainer from the village of Castle, Mempawah, using bidar boat. In estuaries such as the ceremony will "welcome" to the sea as when Opu Daeng Menambon arrived at the mouth of the river for the first time. Opu Daeng is the third son Opu Rilekke known as a reliable and avid sailor to travel to various regions in the archipelago together with his children.
The purpose of this ritual is to commemorate the arrival and trail trips Opu Daeng title Prince of the Empire State Menambon Surya Mas Matan, Martapura in 1737 M / 1448 H.
Each events on the Robo – Robo is Saprahan Meal. Saprahan meal to eat together in the courtyard of the Palace Amantubillah tray or dish. Each tray/dish (saprah) containing rice and side dishes are generally designed for four or five persons. In Saprahan Meal diamond or Ketupat must always be filed.
To enliven the tradition od Robo Robo, also displayed a variety of traditional entertainment community like Tandung, Zapin Dance, Bidar Boat race and many other. Tandung is show which performed in group. There is some one who play the tradition music instrument and also the one who say the traditional poetry.
